Welcome to the Positive Parenting Campaign Website
The positive parenting campaign has been active for over 10 years, working primarily in the North-West.

We work to counter discrimination and promote opportunities for lesbians and gay men to contribute to childcare as foster carers and adopters.
Our activities include

~ Providing training for social workers, placement workers, panels and policy makers

~ Helping develop good practice in assessment and support of lesbian and gay carers

~ Promoting fostering and adoption to the lesbian and gay community

~ Challenging discrimination against lesbian and gay applicants

~ Contributing to media discussions and tackling biased media coverage

~ Sharing information on the fostering and adoption experiences of lesbians and gay men

~ Working alongside local and national groups tackling similar issues

If you are lesbian or gay, and interested in fostering and adoption issues, we would love to hear from you.

We also appreciate the interest shown by many students in these issues. However, we ask students to note that, we are a small voluntary organisation and the information offered on the site is all we have to help you.
